We require a $50.00 consultation fee with the doctor, to review your records to determine whether you qualify, & a $90.00 fee for processing all of the official paperwork & conducting a physical examination, as required by the state.

Referrals to Specialists

Albuquerque Medical Cannabis to Treat Medical Conditions

 
Patients with chronic pain, glaucoma or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) require a second signature by a specialist. To help patients comply with the New Mexico Marijuana Program requirements for medical marijuana recommendations from Dr. Nardacci, Albuquerque Care Team provides a list of qualifying specialists in Albuquerque for:
  • Chronic pain:  patients will need a referral from a licensed pain specialist.
  • PTSD:             patients will need proof of the diagnosis from an MD Psychiatrist.
  • Glaucoma:      patients will need the signature of an ophthamologist.
 

The other authorized conditions eligible for medical cannabis require only the signature of a primary care physician, such as Dr. Nardacci. For medical conditions which do not require further outside confirmation:
  • Dr. Nick provides the required medical marijuana recommendation.
  • Albuquerque Care Team completes all the necessary documents in a sealed envelope to be mailed to the Department of Health directly. 
  • Patients can expect to receive their card 30 days after the Department receives the mail.
